I Want My MTV!!

Yeah, yeah - I'm old enough to remember when MTV went on the air for the very first time and actually showcased "music videos" 24/7. Those were the days and I absolutely loved watching them. I especially loved the ones that told stories or used creative/artistic visual effects as opposed to just highlighting a band singing on stage and, if it was done really well, I didn't even care if the song was cool or not. While times may have changed, cool videos can still be found on websites like YouTube and Vimeo and for those of you who still enjoy them like I do, this thread's for you. Please post up your favorite music videos from past to present here:

To kick things off, I thought it would be appropriate to start off with this...

And of course, here's the iconic video that gave this thread it's name...

Enjoy

I should note that I'm more a fan of current videos than anything if for no other reason than the fact that well... they're current and new. I just happened to see this one today called "Reload" by Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash & John Martin and was amazed with it's epic sound and stunning visuals...

Here's another from a bit further back. It's all in German but still pretty badass...

Eddie I'm with ya! I miss waking up on a Saturday and watching the top 20 countdown on MTV and VH1! This "reality tv" hose shit is annoying!

Still love 80's rock, video killed the radio star is awesome...

One of my favorites that I can remember

When this one came out, I was pretty amazed with the level of computer animation involved in making it...

Speaking of OK GO, here's another Rube Goldberg inspired video from the Bravery that was pretty cool...

While I can remember the birth of MTV some of my favs are more recent. Granted I am a big fan of most of MJKs work.

Early 90s

Recent years

Okay, here's a classic that was just way ahead of it's time. Still one of my favorites in terms of creativity...

OK, I'll try and keep the video theme on track but music in general is my Achilles heel. I like a lot of genres but mostly metal.

Warning most people will not like the music but these guys do a great job in cinematography, Matt (lead vocals) is a movie buff. They also happen to be a local band that made it so I have to plug their work :clap2:.

Ashes Divide (Billy Howerdel from A Perfect Circle)

And one of the best female vocals out there Azam Ali

Another Azam Ali, with Serg and Buckehead, not really a video but a great song from a guitar virtuoso and vocalist combo
