S SquareLJ New member Apr 19, 2013 #23 All LJ's came with the 6cyl. I get about 12mpg in the city (auto trans w/33" tires) and anywhere from 14 to 16mpg on the freeway. You can find LJ's for around $10k (that's how much I paid for mine 4 1/2 years ago) but it isn't common. Also, all Rubicon models had 6 cylinders. The 4cyl, although a dog, is a reliable engine.
