Huge wave from Hill Country TX

Thank you all for the kind words. The Jeep community is truly a great community!! We just attended our first Jeep Adventure Academy in Llano, TX this past weekend. It was a FANTASTIC outing!! Learned so much as to the capabilities of our Jeep. The staff was unbelievable!! The only issue we had was the 4WD shift indicator lights weren't working which in turn caused the hill descent feature to not work. Also, had a hard time shifting into and out of 4L. Manual says I should be moving while shifting but the Academy staff said to be stationary. I'd appreciate any thoughts on these 2 issues.

Welcome! Regarding the difficulty shifting in&out of 4L, try rolling very slowly, while in neutral. Also, it's always harder to shift at first until things break in.

The Jeep should definitely be moving slowly when switching to/from 4WD. Otherwise parts which need to mesh with each other (find their happy place) are being jammed.
