For this size and for a need-now replacement, I had to keep the total under $1,500. I ended up at $283 per tire out the door (mounted, balanced, road hazard, etc., about $225 per tire for the tire alone).
When I priced the popular options everyone mentions in this size, the numbers just weren’t close. Nitto Ridge Grapplers weren’t even in stock locally and were $320 per tire tire-only. BFG KO2s were $325, Toyos were $330, and Falkens were $315. All of them before taxes, mounting, balancing, or road hazard, etc.
Once the build actually starts, wheels and bigger tires will come. For now, this fit my budget and current situation.
Goodyear Wranglers are complete shit tires.
I will give my verdict on these tires in due time. Was it a waste? IDK. But I have had good luck with Hercules in the past on my trucks.
