Did you remove ALL the bolts on the back of the console?
^^ This. I’ve only done this once and it sucked balls. If memory serves, the E-Brake really made it a PITA. Pretty sure you need to shift the transfer case and transmission for more clearance.

Not positive on that year, my 2011 manual, I actually had to push forward and flex the front of the center console and finesse the ebrake heighth at the same time. It wasn't fun at all.

Mine is a 2014 so the console is different, but I've never attempted to take the console out without taking the seats out. It's not 100% necessary, but taking the seats out is easy enough that I'd do that as well. Gives you room to twist the thing around enough to figure out how it comes off.

Not that it helps now but I cut an access so that I didn’t need to remove my console, would have been nice to have a factory access point.

The console in my 09 comes out pretty easy, can’t tell but it looks like your pics. Pull the ebrake up as hard as you can, then lift the console off from the back, leaving the front down. There are only 4 big screws holding the whole thing in. If yours is newer, carry on I don’t know what I’m talking about
