Hi Everyone!
Amanda here from Ontario, Canada. I bought my 2015 JK Sahara "Dave" in August of 2022. I didn't really get much of a summer with it, but it was definitely amazing in the snow. I look forward to this upcoming summer and getting out on the trails :) I have done a few things to it here and there, but trying to stay practical and leave my tuner habits on my Civic and not bring it over to the Jeep. Old habits die hard. ;)

Welcome from Arizona 👋

You're going to have a lot of fun with that Sahara 🙂

And personally, I'm an old hot rod / muscle car aficionado & mechanic from 60's on. I refuse to let my habits die 😁, as evidenced by what I've done so far to our '22 JLR & '20 Ram Laramie. I just can't leave things stock, though I'm not even close to some of Eddie's 😂

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

It is really hard not spending money on this thing. I have been told to keep it factory height and such for now and just enjoy it before I go with lifting it, upgrading wheels/tires, etc. I feel very small compared to pretty much every other jeep on the road unless they're used by people who aren't interested in any off-road stuff.

What kind of cars have you worked on? Do you have any particular favourites? I have a few personal favourites, but they'll probably always just be a dream and I'll never get the opportunity to own them.

Personally owned over the years & did all the work myself or with my dad...
63 Pontiac Tempest Lemans with the 326 V-8 & 2 speed auto transaxle (beat 389 Goats with it).
66 Formula S Barracuda w/ 275 HP 273 4 barrel 4 speed (Camaro's, Trans Ams, Mustangs & even a Vette didn't like me).
69 Dart Swinger 340 4Bbl AT (would Spin the tires when it hit 2nd).
And various others.
Worked with my buddies on their Chargers, Road Runners, Mustangs, etc. Even on the Chevy's (preferred the 283's, 327's, & 396's... sometimes 427's)
Dad was a career mechanic for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth & Rolls, among others & a drag racer in the 60's & 70's. I always run Mopars of some sort. Even my trucks have been Dodge/Ram from 440 Power Wagons to modern Hemi 2x4 & 4x4 (& a Jeep J10). I always tune up my jeeps for best performance on & off highway. Getting a bit harder now with locked computers, but still doable.
And I hear you on not affording the old ones... I couldn't afford Any of my old muscle cars anymore... They cost much more than my new Ram or Rubicon.
