Robyn and I were able to go hang with Eddie and Cindy this weekend. Had a fantastic time and along the way we all took a ton of pics. I don’t necessarily have any unique ones since we were taking them of the same things. If you haven’t already seen theirs, here’s links to their posts.
Friday: BACKWAY to BRUNO's Alien Fun Run
Saturday: BOURBON to BOOM Stuff Fun Run
Sunday: Nevada State Railroad Museum
On Friday we went out to see some cool mining structures, some amazing caves and stopped at a lake that had numerous “tufas” as explained in Eddie’s post. They were really odd looking formations that looked like coral and out of place if you didn’t know the history of the area. Couple pics of Bruiser.

Showing off the handy work of @Disciple Off Road

Saturday we were able to see a bunch of military “farm” equipment and small installations throughout the area. It was interesting to see that some radar vehicles were staged around and were actively running, presumably for “in case of” situations.
This one we could see it powered and a cooling fan was running with a backup generator ready to go if needed. Had a pretty ominous sign in the window.

Further down the road in a fenced off area, there was a bunch of old vehicles as Eddie mentioned were used to targeting and such. However, back in one corner was another radar vehicle and I’ve not see anything like it before. I don’t know if it was operational but there was power to it it seems.

For dinner we went to Middlegate Station and we were able to see what the Wayalife hype was about, it is legit. It’s a very cool old building that was an important Pony Express stop. It’s now a badass bar with a lot of drinks to choose from and really good food and fun atmosphere.

My kind of place…
