GPS question(s)

Anyone install a GPS in their rig - if so, which one? Is there a unit which will provide guidance on off-road trails?

I've seen a few use a brand called Lowrance. Supposed to be good, but expensive

I know Lowrance is a common brand used by boaters if that helps at all. If it works on the water I would think it would be fine for offroading too.

I run the Magellan trx7. seems good so far. but I only just got it a couple of months ago.

Generally speaking, a Garmin will have the largest selection of maps. There are a lot of maps, free and paid, that won't work on a GPS other than Garmin. Check out GPSfiledepot.com for maps for various sections of the country.
