Flame "Fire Engine" Red Rubicon 2 Door Build

I must be crazy. But this will be my 3rd winch. None of the others broke. When Quadratec released their all blacked out "stealth" version. I had to have it. Hehe. Installed yesterday with a nice new red flatlink by Factor 55.

2 weeks ago I changed out my Quadratec led headlights for the KC led's. They're brighter and have a longer warranty. Had to do the horizontal aiming screws dremel mod. Adjusted them and now I've got an excellent field of vision

Today's install was a bilstein steering stabilizer (stock one did not recoil when compressed, weird only has 21k on it. Must be a weak part) front grabars, fixed synergy high clearance lower control arms for up to 3" lifts. Going in for alignment tomorrow to get everything checked and get my new front caster number. Was at 3 degrees after lift put in. Have lived with it this long. Time to make it ride better. And lastly for the day a dead pedal. Have heard people like these having automatics and not really a comfortable place to put your foot. Going out today to do a little trail riding and see how it all does.

Forgot the slush mats. A set of front and rear barricade slush mats as well.

Great looking jeep! I've been looking into the trail dash 2, how do you like it?

It's great. Lots of monitoring and can lock the lockers in 4hi. On the tuning part. Not much of a noticeable increase since I've got the 3.6. But the throttle response is better. Don't have to push far on the pedal to get it moving.

Very nice build! I love my 2 door and the Red was a MAJOR selling point for me haha. I like the MTRs on there. I have 35" duratracs on mine and almost wish i would have stepped up to the mtrs

Thank you. The mtrs are great off road. Dig through the mud like nobodys business. On road they're ok. The funky tread pattern follows imperfections in the road. So at times it can be quite a ride. All in all I'd buy them again.

Good to know. I will have to look into those when its time fore new ones. I mainly go in snow and rocks here in Nevada and im not a big mud person but the duratracs just dont do that great in deep snow so I have been looking at more open tread patterns like the MTR or the KM2 and i think they will do better for me:rock: How do you like the soft top in the winter? I am considering doing what you did and switching to a soft top.

Actually it's just fine. When I converted it my wife was concerned about noise and the cold in the winter time. Get a little bit of noise from the rear windows area because of the way they tuck under the lip on the side of the jeep. Heat wise not a issue. Gets nice and toasty inside the rig. In fact, after the vehicle warns up and gets the inside warm, which is only a matter of a few minutes, we keep the fan control on level 1 to keep the temp the same. Not a issue with heat. I have the bestop sail cloth fabric. It's durable and haven't had any issues with it. I have no regrets on selling my hardtop. So much easier to go topless
