We in Virginia pay not only property taxes on our homes but also on our vehicles and we are supposed to pay on tractors, lawnmowers and tools ETC. Very counterproductive to property rights.

Agreed! Property tax and inheritance tax is meant to make it more difficult for a person to build generational wealth and elevate his family’s economic status. It’s theft.
