Fanatic's Super slow Build thread.

I have no personal experience but based on reading other's, the dynatrac ball joints are well worth the extra cash. And yes don't bother replacing the factory ones until they begin to fail.

Excellent Thank you, You have been a great help.

Got some goodies for Christmas. I got a couple of lights for the windshield with brackets, a second fire extinguisher and holder, 4 quadratec bolt in grab handles, and a bushwacker cowl vent scoop thing. So today, the 26th I finally installed my sPod, and installed all my goodies from Christmas. I will take a bunch of pictures of all my mods, from the skids to the sPod to the extinguishers.

Pictures are little bit later than I thought, but better late than never.

First mod was my cool tech CB, I didn't take a good picture of it but it's noticeable you can see the rugged ridge billet grille. The windshield lights are in, not a big fan of the brackets I got. The push the lights, which are pretty big, out into the way of the antenna. I made it work though and I'm happy with it. Got the sPod installed, not sure if I want to spend the $250 on the Aeroforce gauge, we will see. I'd like to find a cool altimeter to put in there. I didn't take a picture of the skids, they are the rock hard 4x4 and look the same as all the rest. Need to find a better way to bring the CB wires into the engine bay, but it works as is. The negative wire (black) looks like it is really tight in the picture, but there is actually some slack on it.I had to add a couple stickers of the places I've wheeled the jeep. I didn't find a Uwharrie sticker yet... Forgot to look for one while I was there. Definitely had to add the way of life and JK decals, and couldn't forget my sports. I like the way it all looks, and it's a start. I will continue as often as possible. Any one who has some idea's feel free to share. Thanks for looking.

How do you like cobra 75 cb?

As far as fit, it is excellent. When I went to Moab I didn't have it my Jeep was 100% stock with the temporary dealer tags on it. The second time I went wheeling, I didn't have it because it got hit by lightning, and I had sent it in to Cobra for repair. From what I have heard from others its a great little CB but needs a bit more volume, so I plan to mount a small external speaker in the driver side of the roll bar right behind drivers head. If you order it through cool tech its a nice little package.

I completely forgot, I bought weather tech floor mats, and rain guards. Both very good products. The floor mats are excellent, and keep everything off my carpet. If I wanted, and I don't, I could poor some where near 12oz of fluid into them.

Thanks. Let me know how you like it once you start using it. I'm considering it.

Hey how's it going? The wife and I still talk to Tom once in a while. I still remember Moab like it was yesterday, best vacation ever. Kim and I wouldn't have had as much fun if we hadn't met up with y'all. We wouldn't have and couldn't have done Hell's alone. If you ever head out east I'm in NC now, let me know and we can meet up and do some Jeepin.

Got my Poison Spyder brawler rear bumper and tire carrier installed today. I have an extra web design on the left side, and the guy that did my powder coating did an incredible job. 2 color HiLift jack mount. Came out very nice. Tomorrow I will work on the lose nice plate light and then move to the front. Hope to get it all finished, but it'll be a short day as I'm on the night shift. I will also take a few more pictures tomorrow during the day light.
