Evo shipping and packaging needs to step it up !!!

Well first I did call them and they sent everything right out which they should!! My problem is that since I did this on the weekend I had an undriveable jeep because I can't get parts over nighted on the weekend. It's a mistake but it's now happened to both my orders.

Should of check your parts list before you started the install.

First off sorry for the shipping issues.
We did step up and send the parts next day air. If you have issues please don't hesitate to call EVO MFG . We will step up and remedy the issues as quickly and the best that we can.

1:27 to your response... That's pretty sweet :thumb:

It seems unfortunate that some feel it is common place to have missing hardware or components when you order stuff. I have put a ton of things together from furniture to toys. In all of these instances I have never had to check for hardware. This said I have experience missing hardware when receiving automotive stuff several times, (From several sources). From my old VW rail, to my Drag-Car; I always plan on checking the contents. It seems something is always missing, (or I don't like what was included and replace with my own flavor).

My guess is this is the difference between a custom product where humans are the skilled labor and manufactured product where machines are. The bottom line is the buyer should never HAVE to account for errors. While I agree that it is't a bad idea, I understand that seeing the brown box on the front step is exciting and it's tough to slow down and not jump head-first in. We all have been there......

If the payer placed in time and effort to order these item(s), you don't think that the suppler should be responsible and place in effort to make sure that the paying customer order is correct? I love EVO and their products but I hope they minimize their errors when shipping out customer orders.

You most certainly did , just check your packages better before sending I shouldn't have to do this with everything I order from you guys. I was pleased with how you sent these parts right out and I thank you for that.

I know the guy doesnt want to start war, but it does make sense that his aggravation for placing his hard earned money in doesnt make him upset a little.

Let me start by saying we have a lot if EVO parts on our 2 JKURs...I'm not sure why people are so surprised with the poor customer service. This industry as a whole needs help in this department! It's not just an EVO thing! Just saying!

nothing wrong with being frustrated or upset. But one must go about things in the correct way... AND when the company publicly apologizes to you on an open forum, you DONT throw it back at them... Maybe thats just the way i was brought up

I only mentioned that this seems to be a fairly common problem with aftermarket automotive products. I don't think it's okay. In fact, I fanatically agree that care should be taken on any suppliers side. It is our enthusiasm for their products that gets us so excited and ahead of ourselves.

I'm not sure where you got that it wasn't their responsibility.... In this case it seems EVO has done what they could to correct the issue in a timely manner and accepted that it shouldn't have happened to begin with. (But this issue isn't just with them... another thread...another time)

Understood. But it's after the fact, on payer's conclusion on the parts. This shouldn't happen at all. If the supplier is missing parts, they should let the customer know before they receive parts. It would mitigate the confusion between the customer and supplier.

I'm going to just leave this one alone for a while , thank you to Evo for fixing the problem and I hope I don't run into this again because I love Evo products. Next time I think ill just drink a few beers and keep it to myself.

What do you mean by that? I never said it wasn't their fault.

This was my response to the question that you asked along with the quote of my original reply. Your question eluded to me being okay with missing parts... that's all. Maybe I misunderstood your question as I think we are on the same page with respect to OP's issue.

I know some people will blame me for this or say I'm "crying" and that's fine with me that's why I posted it on a public forum. Just don't want someone to make the same mistake as me and not literally go through every single bolt and nut to make sure you have everything before you start.

I don't have time to read every post. But if this now multipage thread is over some bolt, than I advise you to never order anything that is DIY or some assembly required. Nearly every one of these products in any Industry has a packing and supply list. You always check that there were no mistakes and contact the manufacturer or the business where you ordered the product.

No, my conversation never concluded being ok on missing parts. You need to read post again. But on the other hand the payer should be fine, he will receive he's parts very soon.

I can't believe that a bolt was missing from a product that requires assembly.
I can't believe that the parts list wasn't checked before tearing down a vehicle to install new shiny part.
I can't believe that someone would vent their frustrations with that type of scenario on the internet.
I can't believe that people would defend the OP's position.
I can't believe that people would oppose the OP's position.

So much shock and awe here.

I can believe EVO remedied the situation once they were made aware of it.

Everyone should get over themselves.
