I plan on plug welding these to fill them in and seal them up to keep water from getting in behind the welds. Why does EVO put these in there? They are not supposed to be bolted on, so why go to the effort of punching them in there? Or is it for extra support offered by plug-welding them up? What do you guys think?

Gen1 angle sliders here but the exact same otherwise. They work well as a step and help keep stuff away from the body better IMO

I have the standard angle sliders. I haven't had any issue using them as a step.
Running low angle for step and additional extra clearance. And for both reason I usually recommend the low angle version. [emoji106]

They are side specific. The two "closer feet" go towards the back. Looks right in the pic you posted.
