EVO, JKS or AEV Lift Kits. Others?

Rock krawler is made in green island New York I believe. It's about half an hour from where I am but I had no idea they were even there until recently.

I just installed the Evo 3” enforcer lift. I can’t say enough good things about it from my initial wheeling. Time will tell for a long term review but enough people on here love it and I actually can’t find anyone who says anything bad about it other than a little sag when really loaded down ( think overlanding). I did so much research my eyes bled and settled on The 3” for the kind of wheeling I do. If you go 35’s look for a true 35 like the Nitto Trail Grapplers. Good luck on finding the lift that fits you best but I would be surprised if you regretted the Enforcer.

I think I'm going to go with Metalcloak. I'm pretty sure they're about as 'Made in the USA' as you can get. But not 100% on that.
 
Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'll throw Clayton into the mix. High quality parts, & they make extensive use of Johnny Joints.

Clayton is also made in the USA. I'll add that their "Overland" kit is designed with a pretty heavy rig in mind, which makes sense...
 
OK. I want a 2.5 to 3 inch lift for my gladiator. 25 Rubicon, same deal as above. No heavy crawling g. Just light overland g and sight seeing. I don't know what package that I need. Evo stage 2,3 overland plus? AEV 2.5 ? Didn't see anything from Rancho for the JT.
I hate the soft bou cy ride that it has now but I do t want a log truck either.

I could probably ably get away with no lift It it wasn't for the soft coils it has.

What tire size do you plan on running?

33-35’s, can do EVO 2.5” stage 2 OR 3.5” Overland Stage 3 Plus.

37’-38’s, EVO 4.5” Overland Stage 3 or 4 Plus.

Stages refer to the control arms included. Plus refers to adjustable track bars. You don’t technically need the overland brackets but they do help with geometry and help the daily on-road drivability. And the higher you go, the more parts needed to do it right to correct geometry.

With all that said, the Bilstein shocks offered with the EVO kits do really well and don’t break the bank.
 
35s are the Target. 37s would be a lo g shot for me. I plan to drive it wherever we go. Went from Texas to Sand Bay Wisconsin last week.
 
OK, I have decided on Evo 2.5 or 3.5 stage 3. I will run the abilstein 5100 and see how I like them. I have them on my F250 withb35s.
What backspace will I need for a 17x8.5 or 9. 10 would be absolute max wheel width and I would have to be in love with that design.

Depends on how big of a tire you're wanting to run. 6.25" is stock and 5.5" is kind of a minimum for 12.50 wide tires. The taller you go, the less you'll want to help prevent rubbing at a full turn. 3.5" is the most common back spacing and you'll have the most options but they will push your tires out from the fenders the furthest if that matters to you.
