Elephant Hill and air???

In less than a week, the fam and I are going to hit Elephant Hill in Moab, and I have some questions.
From the vids I have seen, I know there is gas to top off before, but is there air to re-inflate when we come out?:idontknow:
Also, the rig is basically a stock '12 JKUR, 1.5 wheel spacers, and 1in lift in front. What is a good tire pressure to run if I have to gat back to Moab without re-inflating? And any tips on the trail would be appreciated as well.:thankyou:

I've never been there.....yet, we will hit it next month on our trip to Moab. As far as air, I would run the stock tires around 16psi.

Up to what you want to do, I can't remember if there is anywhere to reinflate. I have done elephant hill in a stock grand Cherokee with regular air pressure. Not the easiest but my last trip I was in my JK and deflated to 15. Probably was a little overkill seeing how it was very easy. That was with a 3.5 inch lift and 35. Had everything to reinflate myself though. So you can make it through without deflating. You can ask the park service when you get there too.

If you have to drive it a long distance on the road you might like 20PSI best. But I have driven on the road for a bit with 12PSI and been fine.

To the OP. If you are able to do so, go ahead and invest in a compressor. You can find a 100% duty compressor that you use your car battery to power or get a tank system that requires you to have the tank refilled after each trip or so. You are always going to need a way to air your tires back up so you may as well invest in it. That was one of the best things I did to my TJ. I use the engine driven York Compression system that was home built with help from another Jeeper. If I could do it all over, I think I would have gotten one of the tanks that you refill after every trip or so but I do admit, I have air all the time with my engine driven system.

Yea, so far you have given the answers I was hoping for. :whew: I AM going to invest in some kind of air system for sure, just didn't want to do it this week.
