EDGE of PIZEN

Talk about being fast and efficient! Do you know what they plant this time of year? (I should know this being I'm surrounded by crops haha)
Seriously! Seems like every time I looked over my shoulder, they had gotten a ton more done.

Not 100% sure what they'll be growing. Could just be more baby greens for salad packs as that's what's growing in a lot of the fields around us. They grow fast and they get picked young so they'd have plenty of time before the first frost. Of course, spinach, cabbage and the like tolerate cold well too so they could be growing that as well. I'm eager to see what comes up :)

Holy cow, these guys just started laying plumbing down this morning and they’re already irrigating the rows.

Here they are delivering pipe.

And just like that - Let there be water.

Hard to believe they’re just now starting a new crop and on the threshold of fall.
Guessing they aren’t Gen Zers working an hourly job

They must glue those joints and then cut it out after the season? Can't imagine they would stay together without glue being under pressure.

I don't know. I was watching them for a while and I wanna say that most of the plumbing is threaded or something. I don't think I saw them gluing anything and yeah, there has to be a TON of pressure to sprinkle irrigate as many acres as they're working.

Ah yeah that would make sense. I've never seen a (guessing) 4"x4"x1" threaded tee so it didn't cross my mind but they probably aren't shopping at home depot. lol

These are a mechanical gasketed joint connection that goes together really quick. Similar to a victaulic connection where there’s a rubber gasket between the pipe ends and a cast iron collar. Pipe is grooved to accept the collar and gasket. Joints are flexible and go together really quick with one wrench
