Dog Canteen

We like to hike a lot and since I picked up a new Sling pack i would carry my dogs canteen in it. Well, it is one of those flip ones you can pour water into dish while it being connected. I am looking for a better one that is more durable. These keep breaking especially when I drop them by accident. I am looking for ideas. I would like one that I can freeze with partial water in it like my Camelbak hydration bladders. Any and all ideas welcome.

You could go with a collapsible bowl like this:



Which zips up into a super compact, lightweight triangle as shown here:



I personally have this for my dog and love it. No need to carry a special bottle for the dog. Just dispense water from your camel back into the bowl.

They also offer a bottle with a bowl that attaches to the bottom.

I really like my Outward Hound; its a fabric bowl, holds up to 48 oz of water; and Its "spill resistant" shape makes it ok to leave water in the back of the jeep for your pup while on the way to/from the mall. (though I would not recommend expecting it not to spill AT the mall) empty the water out, and it takes up about as much space as a paper towel. Seriously, Ive hiked with it in my pocket :thumb:

and just bring extra water for your pup
