DIY swaybar disconnects

I have been looking for a cheap way to do sway bar disconnects. Being from a farming community tractor supply stores are very common. I found some cat 0 adjustable draw pins that look like they might fit the bill. They are only $4 each and look similar to what many of after market kits use.

The oem swaybar link bushing is 12mm id so I would need to drill out the holes to 5/8" to accommodate the new pin's diameter. All of the other measurements look good. I assume I would need to make the hole in the axle mount bigger as well. Any thoughts or ideas? Should I go for it, or am I making a big mistake?

I don't think I'd drill out the bushing pin that much, seems it would make the metal bushing too thin causing it to break or wear out faster.
