Did the loose Steering improved on 2026 Rubicon?

I held off purchasing Unlimited Rubicon to replace my 2009 Rubicon 2DR for the improved and recalibrated steering for 2026 model.

If you have 2026, did the steering really get improved? My 2009 has tight steering and my son's 2019 JLU Rubicon the steering wheel was loose, like driving 1960s car. Look forward to hearing from you.

JK and JL Steering is a lot different, especially with the electric pumps on the 2018+ JL/JT. The early model JL's did have the aluminum steering gears that did cause some issues as you have described but have all since been replaced with standard cast steering gears. I haven't heard of any continued issues or complaints.

my 2018 originally had the aluminum box, replaced under recall and it's been good since.
nothing like the 2015 JKU, but good
