Day Trip on the Extraterrestrial Highway

I found myself on the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada.

Scary sign when you're driving a JK.


You can make a wrong turn and end up in a place you probably don't want to be.


I love Nevada's wide-open spaces!


I could feel the hair raising on the back of my neck! :brows:


The Alien Burger is nothing to call home about.


I figured it was about time to start thinking about a campsite, so I started exploring some random trails. This trail goes to the top of a mountain and ends. An easily defensible position.




And a bonus - an abandoned mountain home.


This made me a little sad for some reason.


My home for the night, hantavirus be damned.


Sunset with a great view.


Dark as hell. And quiet, too. I didn't hear or see any mountain hillbillies or serial murderers!


A great view for sunrise, especially since I didn't get anal-probed during the night (that I know of) :rock:

Very cool and ^^^this^^^.... definitely couldn't have stayed in the shack either. Not without being heavily armed and sleeping with one eye open. I'm sure there's probably nothing to worry about especially in the middle of nowhere, but the middle of nowhere is where all the horror movies are at!

Out of all the travels I have never gone towards Area 51 on extraterrestrial Highway. I pad it about three times a year. I plan on exploring it one day.

If you are into geocaching there are over 1000 along that route. Possible to get them in one day if a group works together
