D-Day

Tomorrow marks the 70th anniversary Of D-Day. I wanted so bad to be in Normandy for the remembrance ceremony. I will make it there someday I just hope to make it before all our veterans of WW2 pass on. God bless our veterans and active duty men and women and God bless our fallen hero's of days gone bye.

Absolutely the GREATEST GENERATION EVER! Every WWII Veteran I have ever met, I have thanked for their service and simply stood in awe of their character. We still walk in the shadows of these great men.

I just had a cool patient that I talked to who was a WWII vet last night....just so happened to also be Dana Carvey's father! :yup:

I wish I was a part of the 750 soldiers the Army is sending for the reenactment. It would be such an honor and a great experience. To be able to jump into Normandy would be amazing. I just have to do my part over here in Afghanistan, and remember "the greatest generation"!!! :usa:

My Dad was in WWII, and Korean war. He served for 21 years with Army 101st Airborn. He would not talk about it much and he died before I got to the age where I really understood and wanted to know more.:usa:

My Grandfather was in WW2 and never would talk about anything to do with the War. It was after he passed away before we learned of his accomplishments with Merrill's Marauders during the War.

My Dad was in the Army during Vietnam but thankfully never seen combat.

We are in Paris right now(1am here). There were a few celebrations tonight. It looks as though the country is slowing down in the morning to pay tribute to those who give everything for their freedoms. Should be a fun day!!! The only sad part about today... Not one Jeep spotted!

Please post pictures if you can. We wanted to be there so bad

Got the opportunity to speak with a navy veteran who was there on the Normandy landing in WWII last Saturday. There is no more humbling experience than being in the presence of these great heroes. I am proud to say I will be an escort for a group of students for Midway night onboard the USS Midway this weekend where we will meet and speak with many WWII vets and their Families and I couldn't be more excited. I can only hope to become a fraction of the man these brave Men and Women are. :usa:

Great thread...all of this is so true. Always should show our appreciation when we see these vets...or any for that matter

When did HIPPA get repealed? :idontknow:

They run healthcare differently in the gay, I mean Bay Area apparently. Hopefully it's not a Dignity Health hospital as Id be obligated to report. 🙈🙉🙊

When did HIPPA get repealed? :idontknow:

I didn't provide any private medical information so not sure how HIPPA would apply. He was talking with 4 people in the lobby about being Dana Carvey's father so I'm not letting any cat out of the bag. I'm sure the world knows DC has a father :idontknow:

All that being said, I'm sure some energetic lawyer could find some loophole in any law to sue me... ;)
