Critter Tread - Trapping

Someone abandoned this pup on our property. Trying to catch her in a live trap we borrowed from one of the local Sherrifs departments. We’ve been putting food out and she’s been eating every day. I set up the trap this morning and put the food just in the opening to get her acclimated to the cage. Any tips or tricks appreciated. She’s super afraid of people our guess is she has been abused so we’ve got our work cut out for us once we catch her. If we can’t keep her we’ll find a good home but it’s too cold here to let her just live in the woods. View attachment 434250

I have a buddy who went through the identical situation about a year ago. It was petrified of people. Luckily he caught it in about 2 days. Live cage with dog food. It's been his household pet ever since.

takes time but keep putting food in front of and some inside the kennel, she'll become less afraid of the kennel over time and will enter
