Ive never sipped a tire b4 i always thought it was more of an ice application, here in east tx theres more ice in my freezer than on the roads in a year haha, but yall r saying it help it wear more evenly... do yall do the sipping yourself?

I had Discount Tire do it, but I'm told they don't do it anymore after an employee was injured by a siping machine. It was only 7 bucks per tire. I have heard Les Schwab does it as well. It does give you more traction, but ice is ice. I found the BFG MT tires to not perform well on packed slush, especially when going uphill. After siping, it made a big difference. Most tires have factory siping, but the first generation BFG MTs have none from factory. The KM2s now have a little.
