Chain of Rocks Bridge Run

Well we met up with a few Jeeps last weekend for a run over the old Chain of Rocks Bridge over the Mississippi. The bridge closed to vehicle traffic in 1965 and is now used as a pedestrian bridge. The group was allowed a special permit to cross. Beautiful weather and great group of people.

My old stomping grounds! Born and raised in StL. Watched Stan the Man play baseball in '63 at the old Busch Stadium (No....but that one....the one before ). I did my school picnics at the Chain of Rocks Amusement Park.

I wouldn't mind bringing my Jeep home to retire, but at least I'll be home for Christmas.
