CEL Turning Into Big Trouble

Well the big updates. Went to pick it up Saturday - EVERYTHING IS FIXED***. The reason it was in limp mode is a wiring harness had a rubbing issue and was cut into. Not sure what harness it was since my service writer wasn't there on Saturday and the guy who checked me out thought it was the harness for the camshaft positioner sensor but didn't seem certain. But I'm sure I will get to find out since the valet pulled my Jeep over, I got in - put it from Park to Drive, didn't move an inch, and DING - CEL. This time the actuator on the waste gate was the code. We popped the hood and we could physically move the waste gate arm but it wouldn't respond from throttle input. So onto week 5 in the shop we go!

So to sum it up for now my CEL has been:

- EGR valve replaced turned into
- Camshaft positioner sensor replaced into
- Limp mode which turned out to be a cut harness (not from rodents) replaced into
- Waste gate actuator not working.

If you can connect the dots on this one, I would love to hear it because to me this has phantom issues that will never get resolved written all over it. My wife asked a good question today of "When does a shop get tired of working on something like this when it's on Jeep's dime and not yours?" Good question. I've been super nice to the staff since I know they aren't the issue, but it's starting to get extremely frustrating.

Shops still get paid from stellantis. But damn man sounds like you may have got a Monday morning build or Friday afternoon. I’d ask them if they want to take over payments.

sounds like they took it apart to replace the harness and called it fixed and did not reassemble properly, I've had this happen on other vehicles and pisses me off when they don't double check their work.
