Hey guys, I am new to the forum so please bear with me. recently installed a 2.5" lift on my 2013 JK unltd sport. Are aftermarket bump stops a good way too go, or not all that needed. how difficult of an install

Rule of thumb is to add as much bump as you added lift. But you really need to cycle your suspension to measure for how much bump is needed

Accurate info right here ^^^

Failure to install the proper amount of bump stop extension can result in the over compression of your coil. In other words, you can compress them to the point where they won't return to their original height. Rears are super easy to install as they just bolt up to the axle and you don't even need to jack up your Jeep to do it. Up front, there are 2 types of extensions, one that extends from the jounce stop cup and one that you bolt to the axle. I would highly recommend that you go with the later. Either way, you will need to remove your coils to install them.
