Really don't think we will be wheeling hard enough to need the steel but I want to cover up the crappy pinch seam. May just buy strips of AL for the bottom

Ah didn't know if you were trying for weight or anything. They will both be strong honestly. It's just brush and Rock guard you could paint the lower pinch seem black to blend into the frame.
