Boz's build thread (slow build-up that is)

Awesome, which tires do you think you'll go with? I was pricing out some of my contenders last night. New wheels and tires are going to cost almost as much as the front axle I need to safely run them. I need a winning lottery ticket!

Are you welding your c's yourself?

I plan on going with Hercules Trail Diggers 35's they go for around $245 at a shop close to me, and Im going have to have a shop weld the gussets for me since I dont own any welding stuff.

Just make sure that they either pull your ball joints before they weld or that they really take there time to insure they don't melt them. Otherwise your looking at getting new ball joints sooner rather than later

Those are a really good looking tire. I remember seeing them when I was having my nittos mounted on my Camaro, they should look great on your jeep.

Coz gives some great advice here too. I even went so far as to text a link to the project-jk.com write up for the c gusset installation to my welder a few days before he did the work for me. Can't be too careful, and he appreciated the guide.

Good luck with the install, jeep is coming along very nicely. Also love your cb mount. I might go with the same one.

Indeed I don't like others working on my vehicles, rather do it myself, but the guy I'm going to does tons of off road stuff but I'll be sure to tell him anyways just to make double sure.

My brother is looking for tires for his jeep and I was telling him about these tires. What shop are you getting these at?

Do have a question though, what tire pressure do ya'll run normally on road, being a daily driver and all?

Freaking awesome!

2014 JKUR

Don't feel bad, the dealership had 73 psi in my 35s before I aired em down. I also run 28 on the street just to keep my tpms warning light off. Jeep looks amazing! Great job!

Holy smokes! lol Just put them down to 32, see how that rides and go from there and thanks!

Random question, but I have some stock Rubi tires, what PSI is good for the stock tire?

just try a couple different levels and see what you like the stock rubis i think are set for around 38-40, but try 32 see if you like that! just play around with it a little!
