Tell me you spend way too much time on social media without telling me you spend way too much time on social media!! 🤪

The post below was originally posted on the Best Expert Internet Advice thread but being that the guy really wasn't a hater and that I get posts like this all the time (think Patagonia tires, oil catch cans, full belly skids, etc), I thought I would create a NEW thread, just to highlight them. :cool:

You understand correctly. The guy from Apex used to be RPM and sold but was unhappy with how they were doing things, or so he said and is now back in the business as their competitor. Needless to say, both are whoring out in epic fashion.

All I can say is that I've tested out Currie and now RockJock for over 2 decades and I purposefully choose to still run them over what's popular on social media. But then, what would I know.

I run the Currie/RockJock steering on my XJ. Had it for 18 years. Replaced the ends once.
As you so aptly put it in a thread title...People Suck! They blindly buy/do whatever their favorite "influencer" says is best and then try to convince everyone else to do the same just so they can feel good about their bad decisions!

Here's one that I just got and really, I get all the time and it's from guys who've been social media sold on the idea that Apex sway bar disconnects are the best thing since sliced bread. I've literally had guys tell me that I need to ditch my Rubicon electronic disconnects for them 🤪

I can't lie, I looked into them a while back being that I have a Sport and with the lack of used Rubi sway bars around here but hell, I'll wait I don't want to be associated with that crowd :ROFLMAO:

LOL - Honestly, I couldn't tell you if they're good or not, just that I get people churching them up and on a regular basis.

Shame you have a JK. I have a spare disconnect but it's for a JL/JT. You can make a JK one work on a JL/JT but not the other way around.

idiots, replace something that works great for some hyped-up product.
 
LOL - just sold our old 392 coils and shocks to a guy who showed up in a Gladiator but said he just really wanted the front shocks being that his were toast. Of course, in the process of making the sale, he made sure to tell me all about his Jeep, the fact that he's going on his third set of Patagonias which are, of course, totally awesome but for some reason, wear really fast and tend to scallop funny. Being that the issue can't be the tires, he said that there's something wrong with his factory suspension and steering especially being that his Jeep is kind of sketch to drive at highway speeds. When I asked if what he was feeling was a balancing issue, he said that it couldn't be being that he runs beads and the real solution would come from the installation of a Steer Smarts steering system.

There was oh so much more but I think you get the idea 🤪
