Beadlock rings: Paint vs Powder Coat

Hey guys just trying to get a general consensus on which direction to go.

I’m split since Jaela will be wheeling her rig. I know powder coating is more durable and can be touched up. But is the extra durability worth the cost?

Paint or powder will get messed up on the rocks regardless, I’d paint yourself to save a good chunk of money and just touch up as needed.
it's not as durable on the trail, one rock, rock wins every time.

agree with @Disciple Off Road, paint and touch up as needed
Thanks was leaning that direction. Plus I can get the job turned around a lot faster than waiting for powder coating.

Powder coat is a pain to remove if you want to change colors. It basically needs to be sand blasted. Paint comes off easy. Paint is the way.
Completely forgot about that. They came pre powder coated black from kmc. Looks like scuffing and paint is the only way to go.

I've done it both ways. So long as you're just doing black powder coat, you can touch it up with touch up paint and it'll still look good. Otherwise, paint is easy but you really do need to do a lot of prep and prime if you want them to stay looking decent. If you don't, even things like branches and brush will scratch the paint off.
