Beach Camping

Here in Indiana we have beautiful places in the woods to camp. But the idea of actually trowing up a tent, making a fire pit right om the beach amd listen to the surf is so appealing.
Having probelms finding any such spots on the east coast that allow this.

So I thought I would give y'all a shout to see if anyone has done or tried this. If anyone knows of somewhere...
Yep taking the Jeep is the plan.

I don't know you wanted to go this far, but Padre Island National Seashore in Texas allows beach driving and camping and is supposed to be HUGE! I haven't been there personally, but it's on my to-do list for someday. Info is at nps.gov... if you do end up there, I'm sure we'd all like to see some pics!

East Beach in Charleston, RI is open to anyone who purchases a $100 seasonal pass. They allow wheeling and camping right on the beach.
