Backspacing ?

We are new to Gladiators, we have a 2020 with Rock Krawler 4.5 long arm, Ultimate Danas 69" wide, looking to flex with 40 or 42 tires, 17, 18 or 20" wheel depending on availability. What would be the appropriate back space?

Maybe I asked this wrong, what would I look at for offset as it seems more rims are measured this way?
Not when it comes to beadlocks. I assume that’s what you’d want? That said, offset would depend on the width of the wheel you’re looking at. Assuming you’re wanting a 9” wide wheel, you’d be looking at -38mm offset.

If running a 40, a 17" wheel is what you will want which has a ton of options and pretty much all come in 3.5" backspacing/-38mm offset. If you are wanting to run 42's, 20" wheels are what you will want unless you want a ton of sidewall. Though your tire choice may dictate some of your options.
