Backfire!

So... engine light, two chimes, and backfire when accelerating.

Just dropped it off to get fixed... sounds expensive... fingers crossed.

I'll keep ya posted.

That sucks. after the light and chime sequence Does the backfire happen just once with the first press of the accelerator, or backfire with every punch afterwards of the accelerator? I'm assuming no codes?
Hope it's something simple.

Light and chime came later... backfire comes most of the time... at idle you can hear it sputter... up front the engine sounds smooth... I'm thinking catalytic.

could be the timing got out of whack, bad coil or plug not firing....hopefully it's one of the easier cheaper fixes not ecu

I had this and it was a spark plug wire that had come off.

So I got a misfire on cylinder#2 he's thinking it may be a clogged injector, as everything on the surface looks fine... I'll find out Monday... sucks I don't have the Jeep all weekend.

After further inspection... just needed a good ole fashion tune up... very weird!
