Article: Tuffy Security JK Overhead CB Console Installation Write-Up

What you don't mention is how you route the antenna or the power to the radio. I realize it's possible to follow the sound bar to the side and probably down the roll bar to the floor, but where is the antenna itself mounted (especially if you're a soft-top) and where are you connecting to power? I'm going to assume (a big mistake usually) that you're using one of the direct battery connections (inside the cabin?) but this added info would be helpful.

I have the antenna mounted on our LoD bumper tire carrier. I have the coax cable routed through the roll bar padding down to the passenger rear quarter panel.

Does this interfere with pulling the freedom tops? It looks like the console would limit the ability to latch/un-latch the forward, center lock.

I installed my antenna on the right side panel s then behind right carpet then pulled off tailgate panel threw the third brake light harness then removed spare tire then removed 2 bolts from spare tire carrier then installed antenna mounting bracket on &reinstalled tire hides the bracket & antenna does not need ground carrier is made off metal fibaroptics
