Anyone installed the EVO Overland Control Arm Brackets?

A pic of yours may help
I had to put it back together to get to work and I didn’t take a picture of the interference. Just imagine Eddies touching in that pic where I drew the circle, it’s like the CA bracket was welded in a degree or so rotated from where it’s supposed to be. The misalignment here is 1-2 mm making the bolt not pass thru the back hole. The CA position makes the drop bracket sit forward not allowing the hole alignment to be correct.

Do you have any idea what a millimeter even is? 2mm is 1/16th of an inch. A hammer will make it go through easily.

We have never had an issue. They can be a tight fit sure but should bolt right up. They are side specific but that should become pretty clear when test fitting them. There is always the slight chance you got the Friday 5pm set but not likely.
So today I installed the front of the evo susyspension, but gave up on these brackets.

I only attempted the drivers side. I could get the upper installed with the crush tube, but the lower would never line up. I could get it to within an 1/8 inch withe the crush tube. I could force it to line up with a pry bar in the hole, but as soon as I let off the force, it moved back. It looked like the bracket was twisting. I could never get the lower side to line up with the crush tube, even with nothing on the upper.

I could them to line up without the crush tubes, but as soon as one went in, misaligned.

I could not figure out where it needed grinding. So after an hour and a half, I gave up.

I had the same problem, seems there are only two of us that either have frames or brackets that have something wrong with them. Maybe EVO will notice there are now two out there with this problem and step in. If two spoke up, how many just gave up and said nothing.

pictures?

I don’t have any other than what’s at the top of the post, I just gave up as well and put them in the attic with old Jeep parts. They are not backwards or flipped in any way. They just don’t fit, they almost fit. I am certain that EPRIEV tried every possible orientation as did I.

Come on.

No effing way all this talk of not fitting and no pictures were taken?

How would you explain yourself if you called the manufacturer or vendor? First thing they would like to see is a picture.
I was more focused on getting the lift on. I may try again and take pictures.

But laying on the floor struggling to get these to work, a picture was the last thing on my mind.

Could be a generational thing in not needing to document everything in life.

lol
Don’t give me the generational thing. Boomers are the quickest to pull out a cellphone or document things on the facespace.

And I understand taking pictures wasn’t your priority at the time. However once things got haywire and the pause button got hit on the project. That’s exactly when a reasonable person would take a picture and ask for a second opinion.
Digital or oldschool Polaroid, this has been absolute common practice since the dawn of cameras.
