Anyone in the market for a energetic and talented Mechanical Engineer?

Caught the Bug
While the drop in oil price was a great thing to see, and admittedly, I have been spending a lot more time behind the wheel of my jeep, driving nowhere... it also has its downfalls. This drop in the price per barrel or oil for the big oil businesses results in limiting R& D, as well as new product development. Unfortunately for the smaller companies that specialize in R& D as well as New Product Development and Design, this has a HUGH impact. Because of this, I was laid off this morning from my position as Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The company I was previously working with specialized in downhole oil field electronics, and in the last two years they have stepped into the mechanical development of these tools. Everything from low shock MWD battery enclousers, to OM (Orientation Modules), Pulsers, and complete collar based drilling tools. The last two years have been an amazing ride, and I have learned a lot not only about the drilling environment, but also the implementation of many new ideas.

I graduated with Honors from Texas Tech University, a member of Pi Tau Sigma, ASME, F-SAE and am a very fast learner. I would greatly appreciate any opportunity to speak with any company on my behalf regarding an available position. If you or someone you know is currently seeking a mechanical engineer, I would greatly appreciate any door opening. I am willing to relocate (hopefully to somewhere with better wheelin' then Houston. ha!)

Thanks for your time, thanks for reading this thread, and Eddie, if this is in the wrong forum/against the rules, I apologize, my mind is all over the place today due to the above event. Thanks for understanding.
