Anyone Else Hate the New Nevada Plate?

For those of you who live in Nevada, I'm sure you've seen the new "Home means Nevada" standard license plate that was introduced back on November 1, 2016. Apparently, this new plate was designed to "reflect the unique diversity of the Silver State, from the dry desert landscape of Red Rock Canyon in Clark County, to the rich, green forest of Lake Tahoe and the stunning majesty of the Ruby Mountains. The base color of the plate symbolizes the iconic clear blue Nevada sky and wide open spaces Nevada is known for worldwide" and this is what it looks like.

Maybe it's just me but am I the only one who really hates the new plate? Call me crazy but I swear it looks like digital-camo barf. I mean, being that "Nevada" is Spanish for "snowy" as in "snowy peaks" like the kind we have all across the state, I must say that I'm quite bummed that they did away with what we had.

Now that says Nevada to me way more than the new plate. :icon_crazy:

So, am I alone in this? :crazyeyes:

Right, this as opposed to what it was until recently...

BTW - Nevada is Spanish for "snowy" as in, snow covered peaks which you find all across the state. All I see in the new design is digital camo barf. I can't people actually voted for it.

Sorry for the thread hijack but those are still better than our ugly plain-ass Pa plates. :icon_crazy:

I hear you Eddie. I hate the new plate. Looks like something that came out of preschool class. My personal fav was the centenial plate that I had. I just got new custom plates earlier this year and I went back to the older version because the new one is so hideous

It's half past f'it with the CAPS lock on!

Okay, so I'm not alone on this. And yes, the 150th plate was really nice.

I'm so glad that I was able to get one for Pappy.
 
Nebraska just re-did our plates and they are pretty atrocious. That new Nevada plate isn't the greatest looking plate out there, that's for sure. I think my favorite plate out of them all is California's 1960 (I think that's the correct year) throwback plate.... the yellow and black one. Looks so old school, I love it!
 
I like the old one better. Honestly, I like simple plates, like California.

Not going to lie, I actually kind of like it. :nuts:

I'm really glad they moved back to the pressed plates.

I agree that the 150 anniv. plates are really nice.
 
I like the look of the old plate better. I can't stand digital camo and will never look at the new plate the same way again. :cheesy:

Fortunately, I have the Battle Born anniversary plate. :thumb:
 
In Georgia you have two options, but you don't get to pick which one you get. I love the one with the peach tree on it, but sadly I got the boring old white one.

Old plate does look better though.....
