Any Mountain Bikers?

I've bought new fangled bikes thru the years and keep going back to my 97 GT LTS 1. I keep waiting for the aluminum fatigue to set in and break the frame, but it just keeps on going without a hitch. Still feels like riding on a couch with the best view every time. Gave a fsr to the wife, and other bikes to the kids.

Hard core mtn. and cross biker

Been riding and racing bikes for 35 years, just got back into the Jeep thing after a long hiatus.

I love Ibis bikes. I miss my Santa Cruz Superlight, but my next full squish will be either an Ibis or Yeti.

Been riding around on my new Ghost for a few weeks now. What a fantastic machine. Only available in the states through REI.

I've been riding for at least 25 years. I still have a vintage 1992 Specialized FSR. I just wish I could find someone to rebuild the Mag-21 on the front. Currently, I ride a Wilier XC301 that I bought in Italy. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1464712397.123053.jpg

Bump for a great thread! As mentioned a while back, if I stuck with biking again I was going to upgrade bikes. Tonight I picked up a Norco Fluid 7.3! I went with the 27.5 tire because my short ass doesn't do well on a 29 lol! 5" of travel should do a little better here in Hawaii.

Took the Rubi and the bikes to Sedona.

Riding everyday. Around 100-120 miles a week. Rain or shine. Love being outdoors. Period. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1467419745.773387.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1467419779.603928.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1467419818.062582.jpgImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1467420508.984335.jpg

So, I just picked up a Camelbak Lobo for my Mtn Bike rides. 100 oz of water. I plan on a multi tool, pump, spare tube, and energy bar of some sort, and of course my wallet, keys and phone. Curious what everyone takes with them on longer trips? I'll likely add a rain jacket of some sort as well, since it rains so much here in the Island.

Wow just going though this thread checking out all the bikes. I used to ride years ago and loved it. Looking to get back into it. I ride the bike in the gym all the time... So boring.
I know this question may give all different answers BUT ... What kind of price range would I be looking at to get something to start back into it?And if I may what brands should I be looks at?
