Another one.. 98 TJ

When I first met my wife 18ish years ago. We both had 98 TJ 5 speed 4 bangers. Hers was white and mine was black. It’s how we met literally.., that’s another story. Funny, that’s how I first met/heard about Eddie on 4x4explorer in 2004-2005 ish…, Well se sold them prior to moving west and we always wanted another one.

We just picked another one up! I think this is jeep number 28, maybe 29… anyways it’s a 98 TJ 4.0 this time!!

the good! It was a steal, but the motor is blown. First up a fresh rebuild and then lll get into making it pretty. My goal is to return it all the way back to stock. It’s close now.. but dirty.
I know I’m not active on here, I’m busy building my collection and working to pay for it..

Lol, I'll never get rid of my 97' that's been in the family since it was new, love seeing TJ builds. Looks like a very manageable project! Looking forward to it!

Started the engine swap last weekend, should be driving by the end of the day today !

Whenever one of my 4.0s had a rough idle, it was the fuel pump.
