Airbag question

I've always wondered, but never asked, in a rollover, would your airbags deploy? (Sort of a stupid question, but it's a question) I'm wondering because with my luck I will probably roll a couple of times and I don't want to be hanging upside down and then knocked unconscious by an airbag to the face.

Thanks

I believe the airbags will deploy only if the impact exceeds a certain g force of the impact. I have not tested this theory but interested in knowing.

maybe Eddie will chime in?

Alright Thanks. I was wondering if it would deploy.
Which would add more to the suck of the rollover, needless to say.

There have been a couple airbags deployed around here! From what I read the airbags deploy now from rapid deceleration not from a sensor that gets hit but I'm not a mechanic either

As mentioned, there is an accelerometer inside the cab of your Jeep, most are under the passenger seat and if it detects a sudden forward deceleration, the front airbags will deploy. If you have side impact airbags, the same is true for that. So, to answer your question, it is possible depending on how your Jeep rolls.
