AEV Procal - Check TPM System

Hello, I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler and installed the changes from the AEV Procal to modify my gearing, tire size and tire pressure. All have taken effect, however I continue to get the "check TPM system" alarm. The tire pressure for each is registering correctly (correct PSI) and I have turned the Jeep on/off and have driven approximately 50 miles and it still have not gone away.

Have I done something incorrect? Any ideas on how I can address the warning message?

The TPMS system will alert when you are within 5 or 8 psi of the limit you have set. Example: Set TPMS to 25 psi and have your tires at 28 psi and you will have an alert. What did you set the alert at and what is your tire psi?

Might want to call AEV. The Procal is only for jeeps up until 2015 and you have a 2103.

Two things: are any of the pressure readings flashing? If so then Chris is right. You are stuck in the deadband. The way it works is if your setting is 25psi, it will flash that tire once it gets to 25 psi for an instant. Then it will stay on (flash) until you air it up to 30 psi.

If none of the tires are flashing and you still have a TPMS alarm then you have the same problem I do. The new wheels have caused the system to confuse which tire is which and causes a fault. I can see this when airing down or up: when one rear tire is low (say LR) that reading will flip from the LR to RR and back as I'm airing up. Same thing happens in the front. So it confuses left to right, not front to back. In my case the only way to get rid of the TPMS alarm is to turn the system off (select 0 psi on the ProCal).

You don't happen to have Hutchinson bead locks do you?

I set mine to zero. I've driven most of my life without TPMS, so I figured I could check my tires the old fashioned way.

Let me tell you what I know... I experienced this with my 2014. You can reset the dash lights by disconnecting the negative post on the battery for at least 30 minutes. What pressure are you running? What do you have the Procal set at? The Procal threshold is 7 psi.

Yep - disconnect the battery for a bit. I had to do this on my 2014 a couple times. Had to be done when I first got the Procal and a second time after resetting to factory so I could take it to the dealership (the only two times I have made any setting changes).

I have no sensors and set the Procal to zero PSI.
