Greetings from SoCal! I just joined the Wayalife family, after buying my first Jeep, a black
2010 Rubicon Unlimited with 29,600 miles. Previous owner had followed build instructions off the Wayalife project vehicles, and took the vehicle down the Rubicon trail, then stored the beast in his garage. I took the beast down yesterday to get a slow leak fixed on one of the Walker Evans wheel/tires, and after the fix, the shop owner asked who did the custom work. I told him I had just bought the vehicle, and he told me someone had done a very nice custom job, a lot of work went into it. I had no idea what I had bought, other than Rubicon with lift kit and winch!!!!
Looking forward to taking the Rubicon to Colorado, I recently purchased my second home in Durango, and having grown up in Montrose, I know there are a lot of great 4WD spots, which is why I decided a few months ago to buy a jeep!! I have done a lot of 4WD in my career, but it was work, in South America, in places where no man had been before and no man really wanted to be in the first place. My plan is to retire back home in Colorado when the layoff bug hits SoCal oil industry (if layoff happens, I am prepared)!!
Not sure what all has been done on the Rubicon, it does have a Warn winch/air compressor with synthetic cable, an EVO lift kit, spacers, Walker Evans bead locks, Nitto Grappler 35 inch tires. Since I didn't build it myself, I cannot recite what is on it.
Enough of the diatribe!! Thanks for the greetings Eddie!!
