A long sad story!

RMC2 I initially thought it was a sensor that got damaged. The engine was cold to touch I literally put my hand on it. My thought initially was it's a sensor or the gauge playing up but I phoned Chrysler to ask if I can drive it further and they said no. The whole story stinks and the worst is Chrysler hasn't contacted me once and the current dealership says they'll put everything on email then never do its like they don't want to.
I was looking forward to the last service cause then we can do everything ourself but now I'm just concerned that maybe the engine is damaged.

I've actually read that their were lots of similar occurrences with the older diesels the 08 to 12 models, it was caused by the viscous fan not starting or the radiator fan kicks in late. Il look at these options if I experience this again.

Thanks once I know more il update here. It's pretty bad that I couldn't get a chance beforehand to check things then I'd have better info to give u as well like oil status, ect. Right now I'm relying on dealership info and it sucks as they change their stories and bs song the way.
