A Dirt Head's JK

Aaaand there it is! Is this why nobody wants it? Sport modestly built up for daily driving and weekend wheeling with 100k miles? Whoā€™d want that?

Lol so sick of FB Marketplace. The Miata gets hits on there like nobodyā€™s business. Just re-listed it 30 mins ago for official sale and already have 17 hits and one serious inquiry.

As many of you know Iā€™ve been working on selling the JK for a while, so long Iā€™ve accepted I might keep it, but Iā€™ve got a little extra cash courtesy of my career change lol - and in conjunction with selling the daily beater that hasnā€™t been much help given my commute was halved should help.

Shopping offers and it will probably go to my old dealer or whoever offers the most in the area.

If it makes you feel better my JK was for sale for about 4 years. Didnā€™t have to sell and had a price in mind I was willing to take for it. Never let it go till I hit that number. I just think people donā€™t want a 2 door so itā€™s a small market youā€™re trying to appeal to. The right buyer will come along when you least expect it.
 
Finally ordered a RockJock Tie Rod for the Jeep from Disciple!

Been a minute since Iā€™ve done anything for the JK, so Iā€™m excited to get this on after nursing a slightly frowning tie rod since Moab.

Side note: Dealers wanna give me 8 to 9k for my Jeep. Might as well keep it until the right buyer comes along or Iā€™ve got the extra cash to pay the greater difference.

Really annoying but at this point and thanks to my new truck I can piece together the Jeep as I want without chalking up dozens of thousands of miles a year on it.
 
On another note, the Jeep is due for a new set of Nittos very soon. The question is, since Iā€™ve got the truck to drive 99% of the time now, do I get another set of 35s? Or bump to 37s and add what is needed to run them confidently as I go?

This is mainly because my current set of 35s have lasted 65k+ miles and just over 4 years. Of course, Iā€™d still plan to wheel but just within my limits (as I do now anyway).

What do you guys think?
