87 vs 89 octane on a Pentastar?

Back when I was in Puerto Rico, all there was was 89 and 93 Octane fuel and I used 89 on my Jeep, now that the Jeep is about to arrive here in Jacksonville Florida, I see that there is also 87 octane gas in some places. What are you guys running? should I stick with 89 Octane or is 87 OK? Thanks for the answers...

no benefit in running 89 over 87.

87 is fine. That's the minimum recommended in the manual.

87 is what I have used the last 6 years. I would stick with that, it’s cheaper and you won’t have any problems.

87 is all I ever run. Never had a problem.

If the jeep is used to 89, it may begin to "ping" on 87
