Steering coolers and mounts...

Trophy Trucks run ONE of these coolers so naturally the 715 needed two. Probably gross overkill

Tucked up safely above the crossmember but they’ll still get plenty of airflow

Wonder whatever happened to this rig... I really wanted to see it finished.
Well, it’s not finished and the project isn’t washed up……yet.

I had a child several months ago who passed away due to complications from his birth. That pushed the reset button on a lot of stuff. I’m slowly getting back into it now after being off work for several months.

I’m also juggling the summer wheeling season in my FJ40, along with work full time and construction of a 40x60 shop.

For now, the 715 has been safely tucked away and it’s patient. It knows more good stuff is coming.

Sorry to hear that. I lost a 15 month old nephew a couple years ago. No part of that is easy. Hope you get some time to get the FJ out on the trails and clear your head.

I’m sorry for your loss. This project doesn’t compare to that. I wish you the best of luck in pulling through.

Ok, it’s about time to get back after this….

Started cutting up the driver side fender to clear the coils and the tubing

Found this inscription in the upper portion of the fender. Looks like it was hand carved while the brass wasn’t watching, ha!

Need to find a place for this 3 quart Accumulator and the engine bay is rapidly running short on room!

The only place is next to the radiator standing upright. However the inner fender is in the way….so cut this chunk out

Looking downward prior to making the cut. This is where the Accusump will go
