37 hummer tires.

Trailworthy Fab sells 5 tires mounted on 5 double bead lock wheels in the JK pattern for less than 5 37 inch Nittos so then you will have to buy a set of rims. A lot of people are running the Slab bead locks or want the Slab bead locks, myself included, but you could buy another set of rims and tires from Trailworthy Fab for the price of the Slabs.

I can't tell you how either set performs off road as I have not had either. I can guess the Nittos perform well just by watching all of the videos of the JK Experience as well as other videos. I can guess that the Goodyear Baja military take offs do well based off the fact that people run that tire in events as well.

Is one better than the other? I can't say but can only assume and will leave others to their own opinion. I have thought about the set from Trailworthy Fab for my Suburban as well as the JK because of the price alone. For the purpose of my Burban I'm sure they well do great. For the JK I may go with a 35 inch Nitto for several reasons, one of which is I'm not quite ready for the 37s and everything that needs to be changed to run them. I can run 35s for a lot cheaper right now and I don't mean just the price of the tires.

For the military surplus tires-

I've had friends run them- they claim only mediocre performance in all terrains, and no sidewall tread. They are extremely cheap and readily available, and I've also heard that they wear like steel. I've thought about trying a set, but haven't gotten around to getting some.

I feel like I needed to repeat myself – they are good tires, but only mediocre performance. The nittos however, are awesome

I thought the military tires were Goodyear Wrangler M/T and also I recall seeing a weird wrangler RT II that was labeled military use only

The Wrangler R/T are bias ply 36 inch tires, and really aren't good at all. The Wrangler M/Ts are a pretty decent tire for the price, as are the BFG Bajas. The only 2 wheel manufactures I have found are TWF and Marsh racing wheels. As mentioned above, depending on what type of wheeling you do this may be a good setup for someone. I have wheeled on all of those tires and can say that the Baja T/As are a pretty decent tire if someone were running in the desert a lot, dirt/rocky terrain with occasional rock crawling. Decent in the mud too. If I did a lot of rock crawling, especially where there were wet rocks, I would stay away from them and go with a more up to date/advanced tire like the trail graps several have mentioned before. Again, just some random thoughts. And to be clear, I have not wheeled these on a JK before, only on HMMWVs. Any specific questions about the tires I'll be happy to try and help out.

I know some guys in my unit that run them on a CJ, and a TJ. They run the radial ply MT's and love them. I found some pro comp 16.5 steel wheels for with 5x5.5 or 5x5 for $88.99 a wheel. Once I get my 35's sold, I'm going that route.

I can't find those wheels listed on pro comps website. I think I'll try them too when I go to 37s. Anyone know what else should be upgraded when running 37? So you trust the Dana 30?
