23 High Tide vs 24 Willys XT

So i'm ready for my upgrade from Unlimited Sport 2012 to... now i don't know what.
Originally i was set for 2023 Willys S with XT package, but it's not that easy to find it so i called dealership and they told me it's too late to order in that configuration bc 2024s are coming soon. So yesterday i found nice 2023 High Tide (very good deal with bunch of discounts) and was ready to pull the trigger and now Jeep dealer called and told me orders for custom 24 available and he can place one for 24 Willys with XT package. After comparing pricing on both, 24 Willys will run about a grand more than 23 HT, out the door.
So my question for the community: Is it worth to wait 4 months for 24 Willys XT just bc it's 24 and "re-designed" or just go with 23 HT tomorrow?

In configuration i want the only deference between the two is headunit. I think... ) And personally i don't like new 24 headunit. It's not "built-in" into dash but more like "attached tablet" style, it's oversized for what it is, sticks out on the right end leaving empty space between unit and the dash (for all the dust to be collected after running trails ?) and bc of it's size Jeep got rid of big round air vents on the driver and passenger's sides and placed two narrowest mailbox-like slots under the headunit. Not even sure they can be pointed high enough to get the air to my face.

A Jeep in the driveway to play all summer is more fun in the here and now. Sounds like the High Tide fits your needs, so why wait?

Also, if you don't hold out for the 24, you miss out on the chance for a factory full float 44. Not sure if that's on your build idea but I bet it can be added. Take it from an axle swap veteran, it's a lot of damn work or it's expensive if you pay someone else to do it. I would have been happy on a full float 44. Think about where you want to be in a few years if you are going to build it. I think always go with the best mechanical setup available. A full float from the factory is a pretty big upgrade if you ever decide to run big tires.

@JimLee I thought about it and i think in couple of years I'll be running 3.5 lift with 35s geared up to 4.8 or 37 with 5.13 but that is the max. more overland vs crawler type of adventures and i don't care much about towing so not sure I'll be needing full float. Both HT and Willys XT are running 44 front and rear so i think it's good to wear up what's on it first and start bumping it up, like you said in couple of years. It's just when I'm thinking way ahead and from resale value point of view, 2024 will be better option, but i like what first 3 members said: hell with it go with what you like right now

Full float has nothing to do with towing really.

Please correct me if i'm wrong but i thought 5,000 pounds towing capacity on '24 Rubicon is direct result of full float rear axel
It could very well be. No idea. That’s not the benefit that most Jeep owners would want a full foot rear axle for though. Most Jeep owners would want full float so they can still drive if they break a rear axle shaft.

The new dash display seems kind of stupid. The air vents lost are very useful. The full-float seems nice and valuable. But a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I would wait for the 2024. I had always had the 8.5 screen in my Rams and when the 12" came out I did not think it would be something I would like. My 2023 Ram 3500 has the 12 in screen and the Uconnect 5 is much nicer than the Uconnect 4. The addition of wireless Android Auto/Car Play is nice too.

Personally, this close to the 24s, I would wait - a few more safety upgrades, power seats in the 2024 also.

There are air vents under the radio - vents on each end of the dash. I do not see how anything is lost.

If I had done more research and knew the UC 5 was coming...I would have waited ..maybe...I really wanted the Diesel however.
