While it can't come close to the Wrangler's iconic status and history, the Cherokee is a Jeep with a real legacy and following. Actually, until they bring back the 'Wagoneer' name, it's Jeep's only other worthwhile name. Compass? Liberty? Who cares. But Cherokee means something, and the 2014 Jeep Cherokee may just live up to the name.P

I cant stand looking at this new 'Cherokee' i think its a disgrace to the older name they should of called it the new compass or liberty

Although I wouldn't buy one for wheeling. I do like the diesel option and its associated tow rating. What better to tow my jeep than another jeep?

I like it, I called my local dealership to see when they were getting some in, should be soon. Got my name on the list. I want one for the wife. I think it fills a nice hole (so to speak) between the Liberty and the Grand Cherokee. I just can't make myself spend 45K on a GC.

The limited 4x4 version looks like what may find its way next to my JK.
