2007 jk sahara rear axle.

Hey guys I'm replacing the axle shaft in my jeep and I was under the impression that my rear axle was a 44 but someone told me they put 35s in the rear end in some of them , is there a way I can tell if it's a 35 or a 44.

My guess is they are referring to a 35 spline shaft in your Dana 44, but ALL JKs have a Dana 44 rear.

not true, some early jks came with a rear dana 35. My buddy had one in his 07 2 door

I could be wrong but I believe I remember on the early JK's, unless it had the "towing package" or was a Rubicon it came with the 35 not the 44.

I stand corrected, some of the early 07 2-doors were D35s. Learn something every day.
